Integrations of Suprema and Bio Star 2 teams with other platforms

access control systems

Suprema offers you a world of integration options so that your access control systems have more and better benefits for the end user.

In a world increasingly connected to the internet of things, integrations are an essential feature of the best access control systems.

The access control system can be integrated with the surveillance cameras in a residential complex or with a specialized platform for personnel management, referring to solutions that allow managing the number of personnel, work schedules and more within a company.

As with the examples mentioned above, these integrations can be extended to various settings to suit customer needs.

What is an integration?

Systems integration or IT integration refers to the connection of data, applications, software and devices to achieve greater productivity and thus meet the needs of the changing environment.

Suprema's access control readers can be integrated with third-party platforms to take advantage of the capabilities of the equipment, but using specialized software.

How is an integration done?

Suprema device integrations with other platforms must be performed by a skilled professional with programming skills.

Suprema has the following development tools to integrate its teams with third-party software:

Bio Star 2 API

The Bio Star 2 API is a comprehensive web application programming interface that provides the tools necessary for developers to create applications or integrate Bio Star 2 with third-party software.

BioStar2 Device SDK

The Bio Star 2 Device SDK development framework allows developers to integrate the functionality of Suprema devices at a much deeper and more comprehensive level through shared libraries that allow direct interaction between third-party programs and Suprema devices.

When should a device SDK integration be done?

When you want to take advantage of all the functionalities of the Suprema devices through a language interface based on shared libraries, either for the development of an implementation from scratch or to integrate with a BMS, VMS, etc., taking into account that the Bio Star 2 platform will not be used.

Supreme G-SDK

G-SDK is a g-RPC-based development kit that allows Suprema devices to be programmed with a cloud-based topology in mind, which also generates independence between languages to create cross-platform applications integrated with third-party programs.

When should a G-SDK integration be done?

When it is intended to create an easily scalable system with a Local server connectable to another master that is capable of managing up to 100,000 Suprema devices at the same time.

And that, due to the independence of the language, the program or the applications that access the Suprema devices developed for mobile phones in Java, can be integrated without problem with a web application written in NodeJS or another written in PHP, or even a desktop application written in C #.

When should an API integration be done?

When you want to have all the functionalities of the Suprema and Bio Star 2 devices and add some additional functionalities or features, with a high-level interface and at the same time make a web-type integration that is independent of the platform.

What are the benefits of a systems integration?

1. Powerful solutions

By integrating by API, functions are being added to Bio Star 2 so that it is possible to create the perfect solution for the needs of the clients.

2. Improve efficiency

Through integration, devices, terminals, users and biometrics can be controlled, at the same time a personalized access control system is created that will allow managing actions and customized operations that are usually difficult to do with other systems.

3. Add value to customers

Thanks to an integration, Bio Star 2 features are incorporated into existing systems such as the time of attendance terminal, network video (NVR), NAS systems and IoT center, to achieve a complete security solution.

Main integrations with Bio Star 2 in the region

Several Suprema partners in the Latin American region have integrated Suprema readers with their own software in order to adapt to the market and to provide end users with more complete and complex solutions.

Time and attendance control software

· d2®Web / d2®Movil

d2®Web is a platform that, when integrated with Bio Star 2, proposes a new way to measure the productivity of staff time in an agile, fast and secure way, combining time and attendance management with geolocation.

Applying mobile facial recognition (enrollment by photography on the mobile phone) proposes different uses such as financial transactions, attendance control and transactions that require authorization.

Visitor control software

Welcome® is a software developed and designed exclusively for the registration and management of visitors, contractors and the different activities that occur in the gates and receptions of any type of building, entity or business, making this first point of contact agile and efficient and of greater security.

By integrating with Suprema's Bio Star 2, in addition to recording the entry and exit of third parties, it also effectively manages correspondence, equipment and tools that access facilities of any kind.

· Go-in

Go-In is a specialized solution for the registration and control of visits, it allows generating QR codes by assigning visitors different levels of access and adapting to the new normal in which we live, it also has a COVID survey for greater security for all Workers.

This software, together with Bio Star 2, Suprema's access control platform, offers the complete solution for an access control system for employees and visitors.

· In Access

In Access is modern contractor and visitor management software that provides the end user with an efficient, fast and intuitive interface.

It enrolls users with their basic data, takes photographs of the person, their identification or ID, allows assigning a proximity card, fingerprint and face.

In addition, it is fully integrated with Biostar2 via API.

In Access has all the previously made configurations, whether users, access groups, user profiles with authority level, to be used automatically by the software later.

Video management software

· Security

Secure OS is a video management platform or VMS (Video Management System) from ISS. This allows the adaptation of management and video recording systems in any installation, whether small or large, supporting networked servers and analytics that can be integrated into BioStar2, Suprema's access control software.

Additionally, Bio Star 2 access controls can be monitored in a unified interface within Secure OS.

Whether you manage an office, manage an apartment complex, or supervise a construction site, selecting an access control system and other integrations requires careful consideration of your specific needs and available solutions.
